Get Involved!

Now that you've purchased your first firearm, now is the time to get involved in the effort to strike down some of these pointless laws and regulations, so that those following behind you don't have to go through all the trouble you had to.

The organizations listed below have a demonstrated track record of fighting for 2nd Amendment rights no matter one's race, sex, creed, national origin or sexual identity. We encourage all gun owners, both new and old, to support these groups and their mission against the unrelenting tide of tyrannical gun control proponents.

National Gun Rights Organizations

Firearms Policy Coalition

Firearms Policy Coalition is a 501(c)4 nonprofit organization founded on a philosophy of natural rights, with an unambiguous Purpose, consistent Values, and clear Mission to fight for the People, liberty, and freedom. FPC’s efforts are focused on the Right to Keep and Bear Arms and adjacent issues including freedom of speech, due process, unlawful searches and seizures, separation of powers, asset forfeitures, privacy, encryption, and limited government.

Second Amendment Foundation

The Second Amendment Foundation is dedicated to promoting a better understanding about our Constitutional heritage to privately own and possess firearms. To that end, we carry on many educational and legal action programs designed to better inform the public about the gun control debate.

Gun Owners of america

Gun Owners of America has never wavered from its mission to defend the Second Amendment.

Over the last 30 years, GOA has built a nationwide network of attorneys to help fight court battles in almost every state in the nation to protect gun owner rights. GOA staff and attorneys have also worked with members of Congress, state legislators and local citizens to protect gun ranges and local gun clubs from closure by overzealous government anti-gun bureaucrats.

National African-American

Gun Association

The mission of the National African American Gun Association (NAAGA) is to establish a fellowship by educating on the rich legacy of gun ownership by African Americans, offering training that supports safe gun use for self defense and sportsmanship, and advocating for the inalienable right to self-defense for African Americans.

Education. Training. Safety. Self-Defense. Advocacy. For and By African Americans.

National Association for

Gun Rights

With our rapidly expanding membership of 4.5 million grassroots activists, the National Association for Gun Rights has led the charge to halt the radical anti-gun agenda across the nation. Accepting NO COMPROMISE on the issue of gun control, NAGR works tirelessly to hold politicians accountable for their anti-gun views, and has made great strides in protecting and preserving the Second Amendment. But our effectiveness in the battle against the gun grabbers depends entirely on the support of gun rights supporters like you.

Jews for the Preservation of

Firearms Ownership

Founded by Jews in 1989, JPFO initially aimed at educating the Jewish community about the historical evils that Jews have suffered when they have been disarmed. JPFO has always welcomed people of all religious beliefs who share a common goal of opposing and reversing victim-disarmament policies while advancing liberty for all. It was the brainchild of Aaron Zelman (1946 - 2010), a leading national civil-rights activist.

JPFO is a non-profit tax-exempt 501(c)(3) educational civil-rights organization, not a lobby.

A Note about the National Rifle Association:

The National Rifle Association is the nation's oldest civil rights group, created in the aftermath of the Civil War by Union veterans Col. William C. Church and Gen George Wingate. For more than 100 years, the NRA has, to varying degrees, fought to protect Second Amendment rights.

In recent years, it has come to light, that Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre has used the organization's funds on private jets, expensive suits and expensive meals. Reporting by The Wall Street Journal details hundreds of thousands of dollars spent on what do not appear to be reasonable expenses related to fighting for Second Amendment rights, including paying the rent for a female intern.

Until the rot has been cleared from the NRA, we strongly encourage you to support other gun rights groups or state-level NRA affiliates. Groups like the California Rifle and Pistol Association are allied with the NRA, but keep their funding separate and have not been implicated in this scandal.
